Israeli settlers & analysts: "Don't let Obama sacrifice Israel in hopes Jihadist juggernaut will eat America last!"

Samarian (Shomron) Communities' liason, David Ha'ivri, opposes the Obama/Baker/Hamilton/Mearsheimer Middle East policy that favor from Arab world is predicated on weakening Israel towards annihilation by means of a Palestinian state on Judea and Samaria. Ha'ivri urges the West to redirect its wrong-minded Middle East strategy away from the Zionist settlements and towards the true obstacle to peace - Islamic imperialism against non-Muslims - whose aspirations for domination are global.

The Jerusalem-based author, Moshe Dann, a former Assistant Professor of History at City University of New York analyzes the Obama Administration's motives and strategies towards Israel and the Muslim world in a recent series of articles
.
First, Mr. Dann's background perspective on the legality of Israel's West Bank settlements and who deemed them" illegal" (from How settlements became illegal in the Op-Ed section of July 23rd's Jerusalem Post):
... The designation of "Palestine" as a "Jewish National Home," incorporated in the British Mandate and established by international agreements adopted by the League of Nations and US Congress, guarantees Israel's sovereign rights in this area. All Jewish settlement, therefore, was and is legal.< Many legal experts accepted Israel's right to "occupy" and settle its historic homeland (which was de-occupied by Jordan's  losing Six-Day War in 1967), because the areas had been illegally occupied by invading Arab countries since 1948.

One organization, however - the International Committee of the Red Cross - disagreed. Meeting secretly in the early 1970s in Geneva, the ICRC determined that Israel was in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention. Based on the Hague Convention, GC IV was drawn up after World War II to protect innocent civilians and restrict brutal occupations. Unilaterally, the ICRC turned it into a weapon to delegitimize and demonize Israel.

As far as is known, the ICRC did not rely on any legal precedents; it made up "the law."

Judge and jury, its decisions lacked the pretense of due process. Since all decisions and protocols of the ICRC in this matter are closed, even the identities of the people involved are secret. And there is no appeal. Without transparency or judicial ethics, ICRC rulings became "international law." Its condemnations of Israel provide the basis for accusing Israel of "illegal occupation" of all territory conquered in 1967.
Mr. Dann analyzes Pres. Obama's Middle East strategy in his Sacrificing Israel published in the American Thinker on May 22, 2009

Linking US action against Iran with freezing settlement building, destroying Jewish communities and establishing a second Arab Palestinian state is a set-up for Israel's demonization and destruction. For President Obama, it's a win-win.

No matter what happens, Israel will be blamed.  Pres. Obama knows that short of military intervention nothing will prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power. Making Israeli concessions the key to stopping Iran, therefore allows Obama a perfect excuse: Israel didn't do enough; it's Israel's fault.

"Israeli intransigence" will be given as the reason for America's failure in Iran. 'If only Israel had evacuated more settlements, stopped building in Yehuda and Shomron, dismantled more checkpoints, given more aid to Hamas, stopped demolishing illegal Arab buildings, etc., we could have done something,' Obama will say.
Author, Moshe Dann elaborates in his  "Obama's Real Agenda: Israel's Dimona Nuclear Facility" in the American Thinker on June 16th:
Well aware of terrorist threats to America, and concerned about investments and interests throughout the world, Obama sees pushing Israel against the wall as a convenient way of deflecting Muslim terrorism. As long as Islamists think that Obama is on their side, they'll refrain from attacking, keep the oil flowing and the prices low.
Iran may even be willing to make cosmetic (and temporary) adjustments so that Obama can claim that the crisis has been defused. And Israel will pay the price: sanctions, boycotts, diplomatic and economic isolation similar to the international pressures that broke South Africa's apartheid regime.
Obama's speech is an ominous warning of what he is prepared to do in order to strip Israel of its military advantage. Along with the loss of control over Judea and Samaria, territories that are vital for Israel's security and access to water reserves, faced with Arab terrorist militias backed by Arab armies, Israel will be completely vulnerable.

The face of this Jihad is not one of ranting, bearded clerics, but smooth-talking, clean-shaven smiling apostles of peace and the Philosopher-King of Hope.
Dann in his, "The 'Rape' of Israel" June 26th, goes further:
Assisted by Rahm Emanuel, Hillary Clinton, Dennis Ross, Dan Kurtzer, and others, Pres Obama seems intent on taking Israel down. In addition to the usual left wing Jewish organizations, the Reform Movement's PAC, Americans for Peace Now, a collection of marginal anti-Israel organizations have also lined up for the gang rape.
The analogy is appropriate: A stronger power forces his will upon a weaker victim regardless of what is fair, moral, and without any concern for the trauma he inflicts. The rapist (in this analogy) does what he thinks is good for himself. He wants what he wants ...
President Obama and his Jewish (and some Israeli) facilitators may believe that what they are doing is for Israel's own good. That might be acceptable if they explained how it works.
Would a second Arab Palestinian state run by terrorists enhance Israel's security, promote peace with Israel and in the region, resolve the issues of Jerusalem, and millions of "Palestinian refugees"?
Would the Palestinians and Arab states recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state, and acknowledge facts of Jewish and world history? Would the proposed state include Jews with full rights, as Israel includes Arabs with full rights?
Nowhere in Obama's agenda are these questions raised or answered. Nowhere is there a hint of how his plan will be carried out, nor concern for what might happen if things don't go according to his visions. That's understandable, since his policy, like sexual aggression, is single minded.

"This is how Armageddon would start," explains defense expert. How dedicated is Washington to protecting America from EMP as a weapon of genocide?

Electric Grid Still Vulnerable to Electromagnetic Weaponry by Janet Raloff, for Science News' Science & the Public Blog, July 27, 2009
[An EMP weapon] makes a great equalizer for small nations looking to stand up to military Goliaths, argues Rep. Roscoe Bartlett (Rep.-Md.), a former research scientist and engineer who has worked in the past on projects for NASA and the military. All one needs to wreak some serious EMP damage, he charges, is a sea-worthy steamer, $100,000 to buy a scud-missile launcher, and a crude nuclear weapon. Then fling the device high into the air and detonate its warhead.

Bartlett brought up questions about the power industry’s vulnerability to EMPs this morning at a House Science subcommittee hearing convened to look at what’s needed to roll out a nationwide “smart grid.”

Western society’s vulnerability to EMPs is very real, acknowledged Suedeen Kelly, a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission member who testified at today’s hearing.

“This is indeed a very serious concern that we must address in the context of the smart grid,” added George Arnold of the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Md. On the bright side, he said that at least some manufacturers are “sensitive to the issue” and have informed smart-grid developers of efforts being investigated to harden key circuitry.

However, Arnold cited a report on the nation’s EMP vulnerabilities that concluded it’s not practical to try and protect the entire electrical power system — or even all high-value components. So priorities will have to be set as to which assets are most critical, and then focus on shielding them.
EMPACT America leader, Avi Schnurr, discussed offsetting the mutual electrical threats from either an EMP or potentially devastating solar-storms expected in 2-3 years. Mr. Schnurr offered these remarks at Los Angeles International Airport - a few days before he would address a meeting of British parliamentarians in London.

Mr. Schnurr's EMPACT America organization is sponsoring a national EMP conference which is open to the public. It will be held on Sept 8-10 at the Niagara Falls Conference Center in upstate NY. (For registration info, please email (privacy assured).

Washington Examiner columnist, James Jay Carafano (senior research fellow for national security at The Heritage Foundation) wrote today An EMP attack: Thinking the Unthinkable - July 27, 2009:
EMP problem isn't talked about much, yes. But not because responsible people think it's a sci-fi scenario. They don't talk about it because they are so overwhelmed by the challenges such an attack would pose.

If, for example, an enemy detonated a nuclear weapon carried on a ballistic missile 200 miles or so above the earth, people on the ground might never know an attack occurred. But if the explosion happened high enough over North America, the blossom of EMP might cover the entire United States.

Last year, a congressional commission studied how a high-altitude EMP strike would affect the nation's infrastructure. The answer was simple: It would be devastating. The entire U.S. electrical grid might be gone and all the instruments of daily life that depend on electrical power useless. Life in United States, concluded the commission's chair, scientist William Graham, "would be a lot like life in the 1800s," except with a significantly bigger population.

Just keeping modern-day America fed would be virtually impossible without working transportation or communications systems. Water pumping and sewage treatment plants would be off-line. Modern medical care would be virtually non-existent. Even if the rest of the world mustered the largest humanitarian mission in human history, the suffering would be unprecedented.  EMP attacks are often thought off of as attacks against the U.S. infrastructure. But the truth is a large-scale EMP attack would be an instrument of genocide.

Washington is truly out to lunch on this one. Both the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security place dealing with the threat of catastrophic attack high on their lists of what keeps them up at night. Yet DHS doesn't include an EMP as one of their disaster-planning scenarios.

As for the Pentagon, Secretary Gates just cut 10 percent of the missile-defense budget, the best weapons we have to prevent EMP attacks. The Congress is equally in la-la land. Having commissioned the EMP report and accepted its findings, last week the Senate joined the House in rubber-stamping Gates' missile-defense cuts

Christian lobby in Washington cautions Wahington to direct ire away from Israel, and towards Iran, the PLO, & other Zionism-rejecters

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a speech via satellite to the Christians United for Israel conference in Washington that the growth of Christian support for Israel is a sign of the "changing" relationship between the two religious groups.

Welcoming the prime minister, CUFI founder and chairman Pastor John Hagee told him that "50 million Christians" support "Israel's sovereign right to grow and develop the settlements of Israel as you see fit and not yield to the presssure of the United States government." (JTA)

CUFI's Night to Honor Israel aired Tues 21 July at and should be available on DayStar TV's archives.

Executive Director of Christians' Israel Public Action Campaign, attorney Richard Hellman explains the what, why, and wherefore of the justification for westerners to advocate support for Israel's (and not Palestinian) best interest.

Founded in 1989 by Mr. Hellman, CIPAC seeks to advance a better solution than giving territory to terrorists as a means of solving the Mid-East Arab - Israeli Conflict. It calls upon Congress to re-evaluate past U.N. resolutions and other documents that require an exchange of land for peace or would create a Palestinian state. This is critical in light of the continuous terrorist attacks on Israel and the lack of anything that can be called real peace. Israel already has relinquished more than 90% of the land they regained in 1967.

They ask Congress to re-evaluate the Palestinian leadership that has not acted against terror or shown any willingness to unite and build a true democracy based on tolerance and liberty, or even a viable economy, despite vast amounts of U. S. and other foreign aid. Congress should recognize that the Palestinian Authority has not produced a Constitution advocating real peace and acceptance of the Jewish State.

In line with recognition of Israel as the sole sovereign nation West of the Jordan, CIPAC advocates an end to foreign aid for the PLO and other terrorist entities, placement of the U. S. Embassy in Israel's capital, Jerusalem, closure of the UNRWA Palestinian Arab refugee camps, and full rights for Israel in the United Nations.

Int'l experts on Mid-East explain why "two-state" will be no solution for Judeo-Christian sanctuary in Israel

In "Why a two-state solution?" editorial in The Jerusalem Post, lawyer and author Dr. Tilman Tarach, argues from Germany:
In reality, the only viable option, which not even the Palestinians can raise reasonable objections against, is the following: The West Bank (or large parts of it) is united with Jordan, and Gaza with Egypt. (When, in February 2008, the Palestinians overran the Egyptian border fortifications into Sinai, their rallying cry, addressed to the Egyptians, was: "We are one people.")

According to surveys, 30% of Palestinians living in the West Bank are in favor of such a solution. But it meets with resistance from the Hashemite dynasty of Jordan, which fears for the loss of the throne ...

All the well-known Palestinian groups demonize such a plan:  The creation of a second Palestinian state next to Jordan has always been just a pretense for them to conceal their anti-Israel policies, and the recognition of Jordan enlarged by the West Bank as the state of the Palestinians would deprive them of this pretense.

Their real objective has always been the destruction of Israel and, with their phony anger at the "Zionist arrogance," they would still pursue this goal even if the Jews of Israel retreated all the way to Masada or Tel Aviv.
Dr. Tarach has authored both, The Dishonesty of the So-Called Left in the Middle East Conflict and The Eternal Scapegoat.

Brig. Gen. (ret) Rev. Jim Hutchens of The Jerusalem Connection International warns Americans to stop forcing a Palestinian state out of Israel's heartland. He argues why he believes that a "2-state" solution is premature and would cause worse problems now than it could solve. He argues that America should concentrate first on containing the Palestinian regimes through dis-armament to setback their crusade to conquer the Jewish state. Appeasers' disproportionate obsession with Judean communities; 'We're the frontline against Islamist conquest of the West,' settlers profess

In the Jerusalem Post: 'Settlement obsession disproportionate'
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman asked cynically whether "on the background of what happened today in North korea, which fired three missiles, after all the warnings and sanctions by the international community, it is appropriate to continue obsessing with the same house in Yitzhar, Tekoa or Bet El."

"Is this not out of proportion? Should this be the top of the international community's agenda after the recent events in Teheran? We need to explain to our true friends, the US and Germany too, that we cannot suffocate people, and life, in the territories."

Lieberman also said the new government in Israel was elected so that it could negotiate a "give and receive" peace deal with the Arabs, and not a "give and give some more" deal.
World leaders believe the true impediment to thwarting Islamist imperialism is whether this mother of six children adds a bedroom to their home.
